He's BACK!

For the past two weeks we have been wondering where our dog was. He slipped out the door when Ethan was going outside and ran off and never came back. I've gone knocking on doors, made a trip to the pound, scoured petfinder websites, driven slowly along the highway looking in ditches, all to no avail. And then this afternoon our neighbor found him walking along the road in front of his house. How I wish he could talk and tell us what he's been up to. Welcome home, Jed!

oh i am glad jed is back. i like that dog. i was out riding my bike this morning and i saw a sign for black lab puppies. i really wanted to stop and get one. maybe i don't have a significant other, but it hurts more not having my most significant other (my dog).

Hooray! It's always so nerve-wracking when furry friends go missing. Glad you have him back!

Yayy! I'm so glad Jed is safe back at home. I don't think I've actually met him yet, but he seems like a nice dog. Welcome home, Jed :)

ashley, that dog is so two-timing you guys. he totally was with his "other" family. what a dog. you need to keep him on a leash. a tight leash.

Maybe he was out proselytizing for the Jehovah's Witnesses.

We have thought about getting a beagle but they are known to flee and never look back. Erik was telling me you can get a collar with a GPS tracking device now for around $200 but just think of the gas you'd save not driving around looking for him next time. You can always try Craigslist. But you are braver than us - I'm definitely not up for a dog until Henry is at least a year!

Hi Emily! This dog found us. He is a stray that came around Thanksgiving. We looked for his original owners and I guess I'm a softy because I couldn't take him to the pound. I like the fact that he was already house trained, but like you, I originally didn't want a dog until the baby was older.
